What UO Toolkit does

Free · official shards · v35.213.2

A planner for an Ultima Online character, and a set of calculators for the questions that come up while you build one. Free, no account needed to look around, and no part of it is held back.

Every number is from uo.com or the game itself, and anything uo.com does not publish is marked [!] as unpublished on the screen it appears on. That mark is the point of the whole thing: a tool that cannot tell you which of its numbers are certain is a tool you cannot check.

Build a character

Pick a race, set skills and stats, dress the paperdoll, and watch every cap as you go — skill caps, the 225–260 stat cap with its scrolls, resist caps by race, and what your items are actually giving you. It draws the character as you build them, and the status window and equipment stats read exactly as they would in game.

Work out what your suit does

Crafting

Imbuing with the weight allowance worked out live, so you find out a property is too expensive before you gather for it — and you can copy the finished piece out as text to show a crafter. Plus Enhancing and Refinements.

Look things up

All seven spell books — Magery, Necromancy, Chivalry, Bushido, Ninjitsu, Spellweaving, Mysticism — with reagents, mana and circles. Potions, timers, and a key to what the tool’s marks mean.

Other players

It follows you between devices

Sign in with an email address — there is no password, just a link — and your profile, saved builds, settings and messages are there on any device you sign in on. It still works with no connection at all: everything is kept in your browser too, and goes up when you are back.

Discord

Connect a channel and the toolkit can post into it for you — your marketplace advertisements with their photographs, or a build you want to share, each with a link back. Trade and builds are separate channels, because they usually are.

What it is not

Unofficial and player-made. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Electronic Arts or Broadsword Online Games. Ultima and Ultima Online are trademarks of Electronic Arts Inc.

It describes the official shards only. Free shards run different numbers and a figure from one of them would be wrong here.

And it is a planner, not an oracle. It tries hard to be right, it says which of its numbers are certain, and it is not a substitute for testing something yourself.

Free, and staying free. If you are going to spend money on Ultima Online, spend it with Broadsword — this exists because of their game.
